QRRS is not only China’s principal rolling-stock and rescue crane supplier but also currently the leading design base with an annual production capacity of 7600-strong wagons. It has produced so far over 260,000 wagons with domestic market occupancy being 20%, and QRRS has also up to now manufactured 2063 railway rescue cranes with an anuual production capacity for 12 off 160t cranes,which enables QRRS to be one of the 500 biggest Chinese industrial enterprises and one of the world’s 500 biggest railway transportation equipment supplier.
QRRS was founded early in 1935 and renamed from Qiqihar Rolling Stock Works to CNR Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock (Group) Co. Ltd. in Oct. 1998, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Northern locomotive & rolling stock industry (Group) Corporation (CNR).
QRRS is capable of designing and manufacturing the whole spectrum of wagons including but not limited to open-top wagon, covered wagon, flat wagon, long wagon, hopper wagon, special-purpose wagon, railway rescue crane and spare parts total in eight categories and more than 200 types. Its patented (in Australia) three piece cast steel K1 bogie has been well acclaimed and highly recognized in overseas markets especially in Australia.
Technical renovation has been conducted on a large scale since 1990s by means of introducing nine world advanced production lines in conjunction with extensive revamping of existing ten fundamental manufacturing lines. The wide application of CAD/CAE/CAPP,ERP and OA has enabled QRRS enjoying world top-level design and manufacturing capabilities. QRRS is now in a position to manufacture everything on the wagons except wheel and bearing.
QRRS has been certified in accordance with ISO-9001 quality system, ISO-14001 system for environmental management, China GB/T 28001 system for occupational health and safety management and American AAR quality system.
